After being away for some time, it’s imperative I mention Sergio’s performance at Augusta. For some time people have been hoping Garcia would close out at least one major. The Spaniard has had a leading role in golf since his skip onto the scene in ’99.
Sergio has been in the middle of drama both on and off the golf course. It’s great to see Garcia win one and we’ll hopefully see a lot more. Justin Rose’s approach into the 72nd hole seemed like one final nail in the Sergio Garcia legacy, but Serg stepped up and stuck one with everything on the line. Golf fans across the country let out a sigh in response.
Congratulations last week went to Wesley Bryan. Bryan is the first South Carolina born player to dawn the plaid at Harbor Town.
After spending a couple months on the East Coast, golf is returning to the Lone Star State. The Valero Texas Open is played in San Antonio.
As we begin to reach May, the PGA Tour throws a number of courses within the TPC network at its fans. I’ve complained before about TPC courses. I’ve praised TPC courses too; locales like Sawgrass, Phoenix, and Memphis are fun tracks and bring great players. Unfortunately, courses like San Antonio seem to be just like the others and lack any originality.
TPC San Antonio – AT&T Oaks is 7,435 yards playing to a par 72.
The defending champion is Charlie Hoffman.
Last Week: T-11 Season Stats: Winner – 2, Top 10 – 3, Top 25 – 4, Top-50 – 2, MC – 2
Koepka didn’t have a bad week in Augusta. The course is over 7,400 yards and Brooks hits the ball a long way. Let’s see how it goes.

Some Stuff to Look For
- Poulter– Undoubtedly, the most intriguing story once Bryan had the tournament in hand, seeing Poulter play for his PGA Tour card this week will be fun. He needs a Top-12 finish.
- Curtis Luck– The reigning US Amateur champion is playing his first event as a professional. How will he fair?
Who is broadcasting the event this week?
What Bugged Me This Week?
The Boston Bruins.
Generally this song will keep me from hitting something/somebody due to the above.
‘Til next week. Tee it high and keep it dry.
